About Jamie McShane
Jamie was born in Saddle River, NJ, USA on July 18, 1964. He spent his childhood with his four siblings living in Northern New Jersey. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Richmond, he ventured into theatre and acting in New York.
He initially had the ambition to become a professional hockey player, but when he was injured while playing, he shifted his focus to the world of acting.
At the tender age of 5, Jamie was inspired to pursue acting after viewing the Walt Disney classic, Robin Hood. Additionally, he has earned a black belt in Taekwondo and has held various jobs such as teaching tennis and working for his father’s microscope company, all while striving to become an actor.
After Jamie graduated, he went on an epic journey, traveling to Europe, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. After his return, he spent the following ten years performing in plays in New York City and furthering his career in Indie films. In addition, Jamie wrote a book of poetry and several stories for kids.

In October 2016, Eric O’Bannon’s character portrayal in the Netflix series Bloodline earned Jamie McShane the Maltese Falcon Award. Stephen Bogart, son of Humphrey Bogart, handed the award to Jamie at the Playa Largo Resort in Key Largo, Florida, where the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival was held.
