We think you should get a dozen Dunkin’ Donuts in a box with diamonds on it, Jennifer. Jane Fonda said on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Friday that Jennifer Lopez accidentally cut her eyebrow open while filming the 2005 comedy “Monster-in-Law.”
The star of “Moving On” said this when host Barrymore asked Fonda and her “Grace and Frankie” co-star Lily Tomlin to talk about how they felt when they first saw some of their most famous movies.
Jane Fonda said that when Barrymore brought up “Monster in Law,” the first thing she thought of was the famous scene where she and Lopez slapped each other.
Well, Jennifer, as per Jennifer, she had this enormous diamond ring,
Jane Fonda explained.
So when she slapped me one of the times, it cut open … across my eye, my eyebrow. And you know, she’s never apologized.
Fonda looks pretty serious after telling the story, so it’s hard to tell if she was joking or not. But the story made the people in the studio laugh.
Jane Fonda has talked in the past about horrible things that happened behind the scenes. She also told “Good Morning America” in September that she wasn’t comfortable filming one erotic scene for her 1968 campy cult classic “Barbarella.”
I was so nervous about doing this striptease where I end up naked that I drank a lot of vodka,
she told the show.
I was drunk out of my mind and kind of moving to the song.
Unfortunately, there was a problem while shooting the scene. Fonda said on Barrymore’s show that a bat “flew between me and the camera,” so Fonda had to reshoot it the next day. But Fonda said she got through it again with a little courage.
The take that was actually used, I was not only drunk, I was hungover too,
Fonda recalled in the 2018 documentary,
Jane Fonda in Five Acts.
