On a journey to Hawaii, Jason Momoa was seen on camera distributing water bottles to passengers to mark the plane’s collaboration with his water firm Mananalu.
The 42-year-old actor, who goes by the handle @livinglikekylee, was spotted delighting commuters by personally handing out his recyclable aluminum water bottles in a video posted on TikTok by Kylee Yoshikawa.
The video’s caption read: “When Jason Momoa is your flight attendant,” and a remix of “Under the Sea” from “The Little Mermaid” played in the background of the video as Momoa grinned at his fellow passengers.
As of the time of this writing, the video had 5. 8 million and 863.7K likes on the social media site, with many individuals leaving comments on the wholesome video.
One user wrote with pride: “He’s handing out Mananalu water, founded by the Jason Mamoa himself.”
Another person wrote the following in response to the hair accessory: “flower on the left… he is spoken for ladies.”
A third individual said in a humorous way: “IM NEVER SLEEPING THROUGH A FLIGHT AGAIN,” while a fourth user made fun of his portrayal of Aquaman in the well-known DC Comics movies, saying: “He’s completing side quests.”
The relationship between Hawaiian Airlines and Mamoa’s business was first announced in April, at which time it was stated that Mananalu would be used in “its Premium Cabins to replace plastic water bottles with infinitely recyclable aluminum bottles.”
Hawaiian Airlines’ chief marketing and communications officer, Avi Mannis, stated in a statement that the company wants to continue being “steadfast” in its commitment to using greener products.
The Aquaman actor personally captured the moment by sharing his own video footage with his 17.1 million Instagram followers.
He mentioned how happy he was to be going back to Honolulu, where he was born, and how “awesome” it was to be giving out his water bottles to other travelers.
He stated that the trip was a “full circle” experience for him in the post’s caption, writing: “Mahalo @hawaiianairlines for allowing me and my team to capture this special moment.”
“It’s a dream come true. My idea to create @Mananalu.water came to me while on a flight. I’m grateful for your support and it’s an honor to have Hawaiian Airlines be the first airline to partner with Mananalu,” he added.
Mamoa is a vocal opponent of climate change. At the UN Ocean Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, he was appointed the UN Environment Programme’s (UNEP) Advocate for Life Below Water.
The Game of Thrones star shared many images on Instagram of his kids watching him participate in the panel.
Momoa stated in his caption: “With great respect, admiration, and humility, I join the UN family and commit to the critically important work: to manage, protect and preserve the Ocean and all living creatures on our beautiful, BLUE planet.”
“We must seek to right the wrongs we have done against our children and grandchildren, turn the tide on our irresponsible stewardship, and build momentum for a future where humanity can once again live in harmony with nature,” he added.
