He comes from a family of entertainment professionals, with his mother being an actress and his father, Ivan Reitman, a comedy director. His sister, Catherine Reitman, is also an actress.
Reitman grew up in Los Angeles and possesses childhood pictures taken on the set of “Animal House,” a movie produced by his father. Around the age of 10, he started serving as a production assistant on his father’s projects and also landed minor acting roles in them.
He enrolled in Harvard-Westlake School and later pursued his Creative Writing degree at the University of Southern California. While there, he also had the opportunity to showcase his talents as a member of USC’s improv group, Commedus Interruptus.
