Jenna Bush Hager discreetly mocked the Kardashians when criticizing those who use numerous filters on images to make them look “fake.”
“Are we turning everyone into a Kardashian?” Is that really the point?” On “Today with Hoda & Jenna” on Friday, Jenna Bush Hager inquired.
Jenna Bush Hager and her co-anchor, Hoda Kotb, were talking about trends with guest Michelle Collins when the concept of “yassifying” — applying multiple beauty filters to a shot — came up.
The three examined many superstars who had been “yassified” before seeing their own two faces in a severely modified photo that made them appear younger with more defined facial features.
“We look so fake!” Bush Hager, 41, said, while Kotb, 58, added that they looked “phony.”
Bush Hager later described the photo effect as turning people into a “cartoon” and a “Bratz doll.”
“Y’all, are we turning everybody into a Kardashian? Is that the point?” Bush Hager asked.
“That’s my dream,” Collins, 41, joked, to which Kotb laughed and replied, “I love you!”

Jenna Bush Hager has previously taken a dig or two at the Kardashians — who have been called out several times for their Photoshop fails.
Most recently, she chastised Kourtney Kardashian for having a full-fledged dinner in her restroom.
“There are certain rooms — called dining rooms [and] kitchens — and they were named that way because the bathroom, one or two activities are supposed to happen there,” she said on a March 30 show, adding that “eating is not one of them.”

The mother of three also chastised Kim Kardashian for having an “over the top” birthday party for her eldest daughter, North West, in June.
“I have a 9-year-old, she did not have a party like this,” she said at the time, later clarifying that she “loves” Kim and has “nothing against” her.
“Today with Hoda & Jenna” airs on NBC weekdays at 10 a.m. ET.
