An actor and an actress can go to lengths to stay relevant throughout their career. This particularly happens when they reach a certain age and all they want to do is look young. Many actresses have taken extreme measures to do so. However, it doesn’t always work out in their favor. We have actresses like Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, Anne Hathaway, etc., who are naturally beating the age factor. Another such celebrity is Jennifer Aniston who is most affectionately known for her role as Rachel Green in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. For Aniston, her skincare routine includes uncompromisable habits. Other things she likes to do are meditation and journaling.
Aniston explains, “I don’t want to be the face of something if it’s not a part of my daily routine. That’s really important to me.” She made these comments after she was appointed as the Chief Creative Officer of Vital Proteins. Aniston explains how her doctor advised her to add collagen to her supplement regimen. She says, “My joints, my nails, my hair, my skin everything just started to improve.” But there are some other stringent habits that she does not compromise with. For example, she does not check her phone for at least one hour after waking up.
Jennifer Aniston explains how she stays young
The actress explains, “I don’t look at my phone for at least the first hour after waking up. The mental difference this makes impacts the whole day. I have my chargers in a drawer six feet away from my bed and I have a little iPod or iPhone from 1912 that I swiped clean and strictly use for my alarms and my sleep apps.” But that is not it. She is also cautious of what her eyes and ears are digesting as it affects her habits subconsciously.
Jennifer Aniston says, “During different parts of our last year I was just glued to what the daily movement was on the pandemic, or what Dr. Fauci was saying. But there were times I just needed to take a break from the news—and from getting on social media It’s just so toxic. I understand the innocence of how it was birthed and the intention was to bring people together and create a social community. And that’s lovely, but you have to take the good with the bad—that people just sit there and throw emotional knives at other people on these platforms.”
54yrs old and killing it
Jennifer Aniston thinks that it is important to keep ourselves up-to-date with health and science. She said, “I’m at the age where I’m more interested than ever in my health, and my life is thriving, but according to society this is when I should be going out to pasture. No, no, no. Youth is wasted on the young, I get it. But I want to keep putting information in my head that’s going to inspire me.”
The 54-year-old actress still continues to look fit and break hearts at the same time. Aniston concludes by stressing the fact that aging is not a bad thing. She recalled, “What my Mom used to say to me was, ‘This is about longevity. It’s a privilege to grow old, but we don’t have to grow sick’. It’s just sort of been a theme in my life: to enjoy the age I am and not look at aging as a negative, but as the privilege that it is. We all age!”
