After her wedding to Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez changed her legal name.
The fifty two-yr-old singer and actress reintroduced herself with the new call on Sunday (July 17) in her On the JLo e-newsletter, in which she signed off with: “With love, Mrs. Jennifer Lynn Affleck”.
According to PageSix, court facts show that Lopez, who has been known as J.Lo in the early 200o’s, intends to apply the 49-year-old Gone Girl actor’s surname legally going forward.
After rekindling their romance almost a decade after they split, Lopez and Affleck wed in Las Vegas over the weekend.
In her newsletter, the ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer announced that the pair had tied the knot, saying: “We did it. Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient.”
She went on to write: “Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”
The wedding took place at the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas. She thanked the venue for being open and allowing her to use the break room to change.
Lopez continued: “They were right when they said, ‘all you need is love’. We are so grateful to have that in abundance, a new wonderful family of five amazing children, and a life that we have never had more reason to look forward to.”
“When love is real, the only thing that matters in marriage is one another and the promise we make to love, care, understand, be patient, loving, and good to one another. We had that. And so much more. Best night of our lives,” Lopez concluded in her post.
The singer shared a picture of her in bed and her wedding band on her social media accounts.
She captioned the snap: “Sadie! #iykyk Go to OnTheJLo for all the deets,” referencing Funny Girl’s ‘Sadie, Sadie’ lyrics.
This wedding is Lopez’s fourth marriage and the second for Affleck, who was previously married to actress Jen Garner, with whom he has three children.
Lopez has two children with her ex-husband.
