The Portland Trail Blazers forward Jerami Grant is likely to get acquired by the Atlanta Hawks this offseason. The Blazers were talked about the most this whole summer, but they were quiet throughout. But, lately, they picked pace, and they picked up pace like nobody else. They started by trading Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, from where they landed Jrue Holiday, and when they traded him, they got their hands on Malcolm Brogdon.
Anyway, the Blazers are not going to contend in the upcoming season, and that is why they are blowing their roster. They are set to rely on their young core in the first season of their post-Lillard era. The Hawks have shown interest in signing their forward. Will the Blazers accept what they have to offer? Here is all the information you need about the trade between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Atlanta Hawks involving Jerami Grant.
What would the Hawks offer for Jerami Grant?
According to Bleacher Report’s Greg Swartz, the Hawks are expected to offer DeAndre Hunter and a 2024 first-round pick in exchange for the Blazers’ #9. A rebuilding team generally does not keep a lot of quality players with big contracts and the Blazers are trading off Jerami for the same reason. They will get assets in return, which they can use for rebuilding.
According to Mike Scotto, Jerami Grant is reportedly on the trade market:
"Grant, who becomes trade-eligible on January 15, is expected to become available before the trade deadline, according to rival league NBA executives who spoke with HoopsHype following the Lillard trade.” pic.twitter.com/zPHmQBx4w3

How did Jerami Grant perform last season?
The Syracuse Orange product played 63 games for the Blazers last season and averaged 20.5 points per game. He also managed to chart 2.4 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game while shooting 40.1 percent from beyond the arc. Grant was extended just before Damian requested a trade, and now, since Damian is not here anymore, the Blazers want to trade off the 29-year-old as well.
Jerami Grant on Damian Lillard trade: "It's a part of the business. Gotta keep moving forward regardless."
"It's definitely a shock. It's definitely different. This is my fifth team in 10 years, so I'm accustomed to change. Joe and Jody have been doing a great job. I'm fine."

Why would the Hawks like to sign Jerami Grant?
The Blazers would have never considered trading Grant if Damian had not left; that’s how important the 29-year-old is. Grant had his best season last year, and the Hawks would be delighted to have him on board. His versatile defending and brilliant shooting would instantly make the Hawks better.
