Jessica Capshaw joined the cast of the popular medical show Grey’s Anatomy in 2009 as a regular. In December 2008, it was revealed that she would play the role of pediatric surgeon Arizona Robbins for multiple episodes.
Initially set to appear in just three episodes of the fifth season, creator Shonda Rhimes extended her contract to include all remaining episodes and she became a regular in the sixth season.
