Career
Before becoming a well-known stand-up comedian, Jimmy Failla worked as a New York City taxi driver. To support his comedic career, he accepted the position. In the day, he would drive, and at night, he would perform stand-up.
In 2002, Failla began performing stand-up comedy. Before starting to play at prestigious New York venues like Caroline’s on Broadway and the Ha! Comedy Club in Times Square, he used to distribute flyers to comedy clubs to gain stage time. Jimmy made his Fox Nation’s Night of Comedy debut in 2025 and frequently appears on Gotham Comedy Live.
Jimmy’s one-hour stand-up special, State of the Union, is available on Amazon Prime. In addition, he serves as the creative director and chief writer for the national comedy service A-List Comedy. At the 2014 New York City Nightlife Awards, Failla was chosen as the Outstanding Male Comedian of the Year.
In January 2024, Jimmy Failla was appointed host of Saturday Night on Fox News. A lighter perspective on the week’s news is provided by the weekend prime discussion show.
He stated that he intended to do something different from the late-night program hosts of today, such as Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel, in his January 2024 Forbes interview.
We’re not doing a Republican comedy show. We’re doing an American comedy show. I mean, the truth is, I think in a lot of ways late-night talk shows are packaged in a way that’s denying us common culture.
Failla’s first book, Follow That Car!, was released in 2012. A Cabbie’s Handbook for Overcoming Fears, Realizing Dreams, and Locating a Public Lavatory. His experiences as a cab driver in New York City are incorporated throughout the book.
He also wrote The Cancel Culture Dictionary: An A to Z Guide to Winning the War on Fun (2024). The book, which was a New York Times best-seller, playfully addresses the problems of contemporary cancel culture.

In August of 2006, Jimmy wed Jenny Failla, a therapist. Failla was performing stand-up in Ohio in 2003 when the couple first met. Jimmy frequently honors Jenny on important occasions, such as their anniversary and birthdays, despite Jenny’s low profile.
Their son, Lincoln Failla, was born in November 2008, making the family three. Lincoln is athletic and participates in American football at the high school level. Jimmy occasionally invites his son to appear on Fox Across America and Fox News Saturday Night.
