Congratulations to Joey Logano, aka Sliced Bread, on his first ever Cup Series title. The man won the Cup finale at the Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Logano displayed clear dominance in the final 12 laps, after he overtook Martin Truex Jr. Truex, who finished second, was passed by Logano in Turn 1 on the outside. The third position was clinched by Kevin Harvick, followed by Kyle Busch.

Logan expressed his elation in the interview with NBC. He thanked his team, his crew chief Todd Gordon, Roger Penske and his entire pit team. He said that those were the guys who gave him the perfect car. Those were the people who put him in the perfect position.
Logano has spent 10 complete seasons waiting for this moment. Logano said that he was a bit worried when Truex was leading him in the first 20 laps.
Team Penske now have two Cup titles in their name. Their maiden title came up Brad Keselowski in 2012. This is the maiden title for Ford after 2004.
