After 17 long months, UFC star Jon Jones is back in the octagon. The former light heavyweight champion will be back this Saturday in the headline event at the UFC 232.
Jones will be going one-on-one with his former nemesis Alexandar Gustafsson. Jones (22-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC) and Gustafsson (18-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) will be competition to conquer the 205-pound championship title. The match is scheduled at The Forum, Inglewood, California.
Even after such a gap, Jones is still sitting comfortably on Number 1 at USA Today Sports light heavyweight rankings. This will be his 19th fight for the light heavyweight championship. He will be then in the top 3 of the most appearances at title shot with only Ryan Bader and Rashad Evans ahead of him (Both have 20).
Jos Jones has the record for the longest winning streak in this division (14). This is also the longest unbeaten streak among the active UFC fighters.
Not only this, he won 4 UFC titles in just a span of 364 days, which is the best by any modern player.
