One of the trending news in the sports industry right now is the sacking of Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho. The decision came as a result of the continuous failures of the team.
Jose Mourinho had a blistering career with the club when he led the team to League Cup titles. He also led them to the victory of the Europa League. However, they are currently 19 points behind Liverpool, which seems like a big difference to the team management.
The club invested a heavy amount of approx $650 million on 11 players, but still, there were no signs of progress. The administration now believes that Manchester United needs a new and energetic face which can understand the attacking tradition of the players as well as the philosophy of the club.
The club revealed that Mourinho wanted his own structure in the team. However, the newly appointed manager will report directly to the club VP Ed Woodward.
