Chapter 216 of Jujutsu Kaisen recently had its spoilers leaked along with its raw scans. Many fans though excited to read the chapter have ever since been enraged. Sukuna who is now possessing Megumi’s body, meets up with his one-sided lover Yorozu who is inside the body of Megumi’s stepsister Tsumiki. Many fans were enraged with this weird plot development and were enraged with the subtle incestuous hints.

The spoilers for the new chapter went viral on the internet all for the wrong reasons. Many fans are disgusted with the ending of the chapter where seemingly Sukuna seems to be checking out Yorozu. This wouldn’t have been an issue if they didn’t possess the Fuushiguro siblings. Fans did not take this very well and were angry with the way this whole scenario played out.
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 216 is titled “Bath.” It is based on a ritual called “The bath,” where the body of the vessel is soaked in water for 10 months and 10 days in order to get completely possessed. Sukuna must also destroy the soul of Megumi in order to gain complete control of his body. He thinks the best way to do so is to kill Megumi’s sister and goes to look for her. When he finds her in the Sendai Colony, he realizes that she is possessed by Yorozu. In the previous panel, Kenjaku and Sukuna meet after 1000 years and have a brief talk about the Bath ritual. During this conversation, Kenjaku gave a hint that Sukuna always had a one-sided crush on Yorozu.

Some fans have also defended the chapter and the author, stating that it might be a mistranslation. However, this might just also be a cliffhanger to keep the fans more engaged in the series. The release of Chapter 217 might tell a completely different story altogether. Let us hope that these fans are right. Although this isn’t the first time that the author has given subtle incest hints. This has happened in the past between the Ui Ui and Mei Mei.
