After Chapter 236, the Jujutsu Kaisen series did not refer to Gojo’s body missing from the warzone. Yuta and Rika will join the battle against Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 248, although Yuji and Higuruma were the ones who faced him first.
Sukuna slashed Higuruma in two and blocked him from wielding the Executioner’s Sword. However, this sword was eventually passed to Yuji, who attempted to attack Sukuna. Unfortunately, the attempt against Sukuna failed, and Yuji was hurt again.

According to Yuki’s book on the nature of souls and his experience as a vessel for Sukuna, Itadori can swap bodies. This unique ability allows him to learn how other people’s techniques work, as these techniques are ingrained in the body.
In the latest chapter, Sukuna references Shoko’s healing ability, and then we see Yuji using RCT for the first time. It is possible that he swapped bodies with Kusakabe to learn simple domains, with Shoko for RCT, and perhaps with some others to gain more tools.
This has sparked speculation that Yuji, who knows how to exchange souls, may have swapped his soul with Gojo.
