The mangaka also revealed his illustrations of Miguel and Yuta.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 marked the debut of Yuta in the anime series. His popularity surged after the release of Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and he has been recognized as one of the most powerful sorcerers on par with Gojo. Yuta was in Africa with Miguel on Gojo’s orders, and Miguel had been requested to mentor Yuta. Yuta stayed with Miguel for over a year before returning to Japan following the Shibuya Incident.

Jujutsu Kaisen Manga: An Overall Experience
Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 are in an emotional dilemma currently, and the vote of thanks goes to Gege Akutami. Mappa Animation Studio skillfully animated the Jujutsu Kaisen manga pages that were filled with rage, happiness, anxiety, pain, and thrilling action sequences.
There have been countless allegations against the studio for their terrible working schedule for the animators, yet they did not back out to give their best to the fans. Although a few might complain that the quality may have degraded with time, let’s face it: with that schedule, as recorded by the animators, it wasn’t a cakewalk.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 initially began with lighthearted episodes that delve into Gojo’s past story. He and his friend, Suguru Geto, were tasked to escort the Star Plasma Vessel, Riko Amanai, safely to Master Tengen. However, as warned by the producers, it turned increasingly dark in the following episodes. With the phase of the infamous Shibuya Incident Arc, it was clear what the fans had coming their way.
For starters, spoiler alert, Gojo being sealed away in the prison realm, so many characters dying left and right, fan-favorite Nanami and Nobara’s tragic fate, and a series of family secrets being revealed, like Choso had a sudden urge to be called “Onichan/big brother” by Yuji! Despite such a darker environment setup, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has conveyed varied emotions, including some comedic relief. Only Gege Akutami could have pulled off such a feat.
