Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 story: What Manga chapters will it adapt?
The first season of Jujutsu Kaisen ended with the conclusion of the Death Painting Arc, which adapted chapters 55-64 of the manga. Now, it has been officially announced that the second season will kick off with Gojo’s Past Arc, which covers chapters 65-79 of the manga. Jujutsu Kaisen 2 will delve deeper into Gojo’s past with a focus on a particular mission he undertook with Geto, involving the transportation of a Star Plasma Vessel to Tengen.
Aside from the Gojo’s Past Arc, Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will also feature the Shibuya Incident Arc which spans from chapters 79 to 136 in the manga. This arc revolves around a plan to seal away Goto, led by Gojo and his newly formed cursed alliance. Without giving too much away, fans can expect a thrilling storyline with intense action and high stakes as the story unfolds in the upcoming season.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 1: Recap
If you need a recap of what has happened in Jujutsu Kaisen so far, Yuji and his friends defeated the Cursed Wombs Eso and Kechizu and reunited with Megumi. However, Sukuna, the cursed spirit possessing Yuji, consumed another finger, bringing him one step closer to regaining his full power. “The first season of the television series and the movie have been very, very successful. We would like to leverage that success for season 2, but we are not going to be doing the same thing and repeat ourselves. To the fans of the series, I would like to show even greater success and bigger growth in season 2.”

Do I need to watch Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie before Season 2?
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 acts as a prequel to the main series. It’s not technically necessary to watch the movie. With that said, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is a fantastic movie.
