Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 17 Dub Recap
Megumi devised a grand scheme to summon a super-strong Shikigami. Later, Satoru revealed the long-running dispute between the Zenin and Gojo families to Megumi, dropping the bomb that both leaders ended up offsetting themselves. Meanwhile, Sukuna learned of Megumi’s plan and chose to flee, figuring he’d soon be a free bird again.
Megumi summoned Mahoraga, but things got out of hand when Mahoraga chose to assault Megumi. Amid the pandemonium, Shigemo, entangled in a fierce struggle with Mahoraga, pleaded with Megumi to banish it. Sukuna rushed in and rescued Shigemo from certain death. Sukuna suspected Megumi was preparing a self-sacrifice party with Mahoraga, so he leaped into the struggle to keep Megumi alive. Why? Sukuna, on the other hand, had his motivations.
The fight took place in the city, and Sukuna finished things off with his insane “Malevolent Shrine” technique. He gave Shigemo the boot, but Shigemo’s good fortune ran out, and he died.
Sukuna then whisked Megumi away to unknown lands before returning to the battlefield for a fight with Mahoraga. Now in command, Yuji faced a chaotic situation. He just prayed it would all end, feeling the weight of innocent lives on his shoulders.
The episode finished on a depressing note, with Nanami trudging into a subway hall, looking worse for wear.
