Recap of Episode 7
Jujutsu Kaisen Episode 7 takes us to Mechamaru or Kokichi Muta, who has just regained a healthy body due to Mahito’s Idle Transformation. He is in a battle-to-death with Mahito after their treaty is broken. Kokichi fights desperately and gives it his all. His only motivation was to see his friends and go back. He manages to damage parts of Mahito’s soul and even counters Mahito’s Domain Expansion with Simple Domain. Despite everything Kokichi was deceived by the curse and ultimately died.
The tragic death has not even settled when the episode transitions to the beginning of the Shibuya Incident. A barrier is cast around Shibuya which prevents civilians from entering and exiting, and communication inside the barrier is cut off as the Jujutsu sorcerers station themselves outside the barrier to protect. Gojo enters the barrier towards the end.
What to Expect in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 8?
Episode 8 is likely to cover the remaining parts of chapter 83 and move into manga chapters 84 and 85. Titled “Shibuya Incident,” this episode will cover Yuji and Mei Mei getting to the scene and beginning of Gojo’s battle with the curses.
