Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: How Many More Episodes Left?
So far, 20 episodes have been premiered for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. The anime series has adapted the Hidden Inventory Arc, also known as the “Premature Death Arc”/ “Gojo’s Past Arc, from chapters 64 to 79, which aired from July 06, 2023, to August 17, 2023. While the “Shibuya Incident Arc,” adapted from chapters 79 to 136, aired from August 31, 2023, and is expected to wrap up within December 28, 2023.
The Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen is supposed to conclude with 23 episodes. In Jujutsu Kaisen season 2, up to date, Episode 18 has featured Nanami’s death, in Episode 19, Noabara’s expectant death was depicted, and in Episode 20, Mahito’s fight with Yuji and Todo. The anime has only four episodes left to cover the rest of the arc.
With this pacing, Episode 21 of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 may adapt chapters 129 to 132, continuing the fight with Mahito, with Kenjaku appearing at the end to absorb Mahito. Episode 22 may cover the much-awaited confrontation with Kenjaku, ending with Yuki appearing, adapting chapters 133 to 135. The last three chapters, 136 to 138 of the Shibuya Arc Incident of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, may adopt the remaining parts of the Shibuya arc, either hanging Yuji’s situation in a cliffhanger or giving a conclusion before Yuji leaves.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: What Chapters Will This Season Adapt
Since there is no official confirmation about Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, it is not apparent what chapter Mappa will adapt for Season 3. However, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 may continue with the Shibuya Incident’s aftermath, starting with Yuji Itadori’s Extermination Arc, Perfect Preparation Arc, and kicking off with the most important event going on in the manga series, the Culling Game Arc.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: When Will It Be Released?
At the moment, there has been no official announcement from Mappa regarding the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. Due to the recent controversies surrounding Mappa, it is uncertain what the future holds for the show. Fans are speculating that the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 may get delayed as Mappa has faced criticism in the past for not providing their animators with sufficient time to complete the episodes on time. On the brighter side, fans can also expect an improvement in the quality of the production.
