The present hostile situation at the Mappa Studio may delay the release of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. While the entire Jujutsu Kaisen fandom is mourning over Gojo Satoru’s sealing in Season 2, the animators for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 have appeared on X (previously Twitter) to voice their opinions about the awful conditions of work they endure at the Mappa Studio.
A certain well-established anime studio is currently making waves for allegedly having presented employees with contracts forbidding them from complaining about the poor schedule and working conditions of one of their recent works.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Season 2 Animators Voice Their Opinions About The Appalling Conditions At Work
Mappa Studio has asked the animators of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement and not reveal any information regarding the lousy management and bad working conditions.
MAPPA has just made the Jujutsu Kaisen Staff sign a confidentiality contract so that they do not express complaints about the production.

Many Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 animators have gathered the courage to post on X and express their feelings about the appalling working circumstances they are facing in the production of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. While a few animators decided to delete their tweets on the matter, others preferred to continue their complaints against the animation company.

Their main concern is about the terrible schedule they have to work on, which is beyond inhumane to many of them. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 releases every week at a stipulated time, and this schedule has never been altered. Naturally, to meet the deadlines, the animators had to work day and night to cover their targets.

2023 has been a busy year for Mappa Studio, with lots of series on their list, starting from Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, Attack On Titan Season 4 Part 3, Hell’s Paradise, Alice Illusion Factory movie, Chainsaw Man, Zombieland Saga, Vinland Saga Season 2. Rumors suggest Mappa is also working on One Punch Man Season 3. Even though the studio has multiple projects simultaneously, the animators are severely underpaid and overworked. Several cases have been raised by animators themselves against these unethical actions.
Teruyuki Omine, the episode director and animator for Attack On Titan, said on Twitter on February 7, 2023, that he had been working on the series for 72 hours straight. In 2021, an anonymous animator accused the studio of taking up too many projects at once while paying them less and making them work “till the sun came out.”
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: Release Date
The release date of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 may now be delayed, which seems highly inevitable unless the staff and the Studio authorities come on mutual ground. The atmosphere at the studio is presently heated, and the animators, this time, seem to be adamant about seeking justice.
Final Thoughts:
Mappa has already been in the headlines for unethical conduct and poor management. However, this behavior is not exclusive to Mappa; the anime business is infamous for having a toxic work atmosphere that persists even today beneath those flashy outward appearances.
