When Did Justin Bieber Begin His Music Career?
Justin Bieber is one of the most iconic and influential figures in the music industry today. Born in 1994 in Ontario, Canada, Bieber began posting videos of himself singing on YouTube in 2007. This propelled him to fame, and soon he was signed to a record label and began releasing singles. His debut album ‘My World’ went on to become a huge success, selling millions of copies and launching Bieber into superstardom. He has since released five more studio albums, all of which have gone on to achieve commercial success.
How Did Scooter Braun Discover Bieber?
In an interview, Justin Bieber revealed how he was contacted by Scooter Braun, a music executive and entrepreneur. The Canadian singer recalled how Braun literally “stalked” him to get in touch. Bieber shared that her mother’s last name was Mallette so when Braun contacted his school board to enquire about him, he ended up getting in touch with his great aunt whom the singer had never met.
He further stated that her mother was getting messages saying, “This guy named Scooter is trying to get in touch with you.” She decided to call him to ask him to stop bothering her but the two ended up having about “two hours” long conversation. That is when his mother considered visiting Atlanta and figuring out if Braun really had strong connections to drive his son’s career.
Bieber also mentioned how he had never really thought about making an album until Braun encouraged him to. He said,
“I never really dreamed of it. I didn’t know about anything like that. So when Scooter was contacting us, I started to think, like, “Wow, this could actually be my life. I could actually do this for a living and make music and travel the world.” So that’s when I started getting excited.”
Justin Bieber’s Other Projects
In addition to his success as a musician, Bieber has also made a name for himself in the fashion world. In 2015, he was featured on a Calvin Klein billboard, and he has since become a regular on fashion magazine covers. He also owns his own fashion line, called ‘Drew House’.
On top of his professional accomplishments, Justin Bieber has also become known for his turbulent personal life. He has been involved in numerous controversies, including an altercation with a paparazzi, legal issues, and even a stint in rehab. Despite this, Bieber has managed to stay focused on his music and has continued to make a name for himself.
In September 2018, the 29-year-old singer married his model girlfriend Hailey Baldwin in a secret court marriage. A year later, the couple had a second wedding in September 2019 with all their loved ones present in a beautiful ceremony.
Justin Bieber’s last studio album was released in 2021 titled Justice which featured several musicians such as Khalid, Kid LAROI, Giveon, TroyBoi, Chance The Rapper, etc.
