Justin Roland, one of the Rick and Morty creators and the voice of the title characters, was charged with domestic violence about three weeks ago.
Following the allegations, Adult Swim released a statement confirming that the studio has cut ties with Roiland and that Rick and Morty will continue with the rest of the team.
Will Rick and Morty season 7 release be delayed?
No date related to the premiere of the 7th season of the series has been announced yet. However, given Adult Swim’s history as far as Rick and Morty season premieres are concerned, we can safely assume that season 7 episode 1, is not going to be released in 2023.

Will there be something new about season 7?
One of the most important people behind the success of the series is Justin Roiland, co-creator and voice actor dubbing the title characters. In recent days, however, the authorities of Adult Swim have decided to end cooperation with Roiland – the reason for this decision is allegations of domestic violence that the man allegedly committed in 2020.

What does this mean for the next season of Rick and Morty? First of all, the mad scientist and his grandson are waiting for voice changes – but you can assume that they will not be striking, and Adult Swim will try to find an actor who can replicate Roiland’s sound. But what about the script of the series? The second creator of Rick and Morty, Dan Harmon, stays on board, as does the rest of the team – so it’s unlikely that season 7 will be much different from the previous ones.
All in all, it seems unlikely that Justin Roiland has done much harm to Rick and Morty’s season 7 release.
