The arrival of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has forced me out of Turin admits Gonzalo Higuain. Currently on loan at AC Milan, the Argentine star striker says that he feels like as if he was out of the Juventus team after the arrival of the former Real Madrid and Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
In 2016, the Italian club signed Gonzalo from Napoli for a €90 million. Across two seasons in the club, the Argentine forward has netted 40 Serie A goals. With his presence, the club expected for some success in the Champions League, which unfortunately did not happen.
In the pre-season, Juventus focused their attentions on the former United striker and was successful in their attempt to persuade the Ballon d’Or holder from Real Madrid.
“Leaving Juventus was never my intention,” said Higuain. He also insisted that despite feeling forced out of the club, he holds no hatred on anyone in the club.
