K-Pop band BTS has risen to the top of the charts all over the world in the last few years, especially after the release of their single Fake Love. The band has only continued to climb their way to the pinnacle and it does not seem like it is going to stop anytime soon.

The band has 7 members, namely – Jungkook, J-Hope, Jin, Jimin, Suga, V, and RM. The songs of this band are mostly Korean based, but they do have a few words of English thrown here and there. This just goes to show that when you make good music, it doesn’t matter what language you do it in.
Will BTS sing in English?
As the band continues to grow in fame and wealth, fans are wondering if they will ever release an English song. Artists have been known to do crossovers in other languages for a long time now, and it will be interesting to see the hit band sing in English.
But it does not seem likely. One of the band members, RM told an entertainment website that they will not be making a song in English. He said,
“We don’t want to change our identity or our genuineness to get the number one,”
He revealed to Entertainment Weekly about why BTS does not sing all English lyrics on any of their songs.
[blockquote footer=””]”Like if we sing suddenly in full English, and change all these other things, then that’s not BTS. We’ll do everything, we’ll try. But if we couldn’t get number one or number five, that’s okay.”[/blockquote]
RM learnt English from Friends
RM is the only member of the band who can even speak English. He revealed that he learnt the language watching Friends. He told Ellen Degeneres,
“Back in the days when I was 15 or 14, it was quite a syndrome for all the Korean parents to make their kids watch Friends. I thought I was kinda a victim at the time, but right now I’m the lucky one.”
He added,
“Thanks to my mother, she bought all of the seasons of DVDs… so firstly I watched with the Korean subtitle, next time with the English subtitle, then I just removed it.”
The band performed their latest single Boy With Luv at Billboards Music Awards on May 1.
