Kanye West took a break after seeing his son Saint play soccer on Saturday by going to a nearby Denny’s for breakfast.
The 45-year-old rapper’s career has gone downhill since he said more anti-Semitic things. He was seen leaving a casual restaurant in the Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles wearing the same green jacket.
Earlier, he had a weird run-in with his ex-wife Kim Kardashian while they were both trying to keep their distance and help Saint, who is six.
Kanye could be seen sitting at a table by the window in the restaurant while a waitress took his order.
The hitmaker wore a green down coat with an orange lining and what looked like a gray hood that was attached to it. He wore it with paint-splattered, worn-out jeans.
They were tucked into a pair of chunky black rain boots, a style he has been drawn to in recent months.
Kanye finished off the outfit with a simple black tank top. He had a beard, and his hair was cut close to his head.
Kanye didn’t look like he had the camouflage baseball cap he wore to his son’s game.
Even though he avoided his ex-wife, the producer was seen on the sidelines standing close to his son, Saint.
He likes to spend time with his kids by going to their sports games. Lately, he has been seen at his younger daughter Saint’s basketball games and his older daughter North’s basketball games.
Earlier on Friday night, Kanye went on Instagram to complain about how things are going in a number of fields.
The controversial rapper posted twice about contracts and even used Lauryn Hill’s name and experiences to make his point.
First, though, he put up a black picture with white writing that said, “Let’s see the contracts.”
The post began, ‘While I’m still allowed on Mark Zuckerberg platform, I’m going to say this again. Let’s see the contracts. The film contracts. The sports contracts. The music contracts. The mortgages. Let’s see the contracts.’
He continued, ‘So we can or better yet will do better business. I’ve been beat to a pulp and there’s still no accountability.’
The Donda rapper captioned the image,’The “unknown powers” are trying to destroy my life off of a tweet So does this prove that my so called suspicion was true? Leading with love This is #lovespeech.’
In his next post, he put up a picture of Hill looking up at the sky with her hair pulled back and big hoops hanging down from her ears.
In the caption, he wrote, ‘Love is the answer God is love Does anyone wonder what Ms Hill’s recording contract looked like and why she stopped recording professionally We no longer will be used to oppression Kweli was right on so many things Sway was right When you sell your name and likeness Let’s free ourselves and bring back this frequency #lovespeech.’
The singer of “Killing Me Softly With His Song” famously told Rolling Stone why she never made another album after “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” her hugely popular and critically acclaimed 1998 solo debut.
‘The wild thing is no one from my label has ever called me and asked how can we help you make another album, ever…,’ she said on a podcast detailing the 500 greatest albums. ‘Did I say ever? Ever!’
Kanye’s latest post came as he continues to feel pressure over anti-Semitic comments he made earlier this month.
In a tweet from earlier this month, the rapper wrote: ‘I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also. You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.’
Deafcon, which is also called defense readiness condition, is an alert used by the US Armed Forces to show how quickly the military can be sent into action during emergencies and attacks that could kill a lot of people.
Later, the rapper’s Twitter account was shut down.
Piers Morgan asked West last week if he was sorry about the tweet, and West said, ‘No – absolutely not, absolutely not … I fought fire with fire – I’m not here to get hosed down – that’s a different type of freedom fighter.’
He later clarified: ‘I will say I’m sorry for the people that I hurt. I feel like I cause hurt and confusion, and I’m sorry for the families of the people that had nothing to do with the trauma that I had been through and that I use my platform where you say, “Hurt people hurt people,” and I was hurt.’
Kanye is known for his unpredictable rants on social media. In 2016, he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. This year, his rants have become more common.
West has made a number of anti-Semitic comments, which have caused him to lose a number of high-profile partnerships.
The father of four could be worth less than $1 billion after the end of his deal with the brand. This comes after he lost several other lucrative deals.
The deals he had with Balenciaga and Gap didn’t work out, and the rapper was dropped by the talent agency CAA.
In a statement GAP said: ‘Anti-Semitism, racism and hate in any form are inexcusable and not tolerated in accordance with our values.
‘On behalf of our customers, employees and shareholders, we are partnering with organizations that combat hate and discrimination.’
His Twitter and Instagram accounts were shut down because people said his posts were anti-Semitic, and the social media sites said they took them down.
Adidas said in a statement, ‘Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech.
‘Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.’
The company also said that cutting ties with the rapper could hurt the company’s net income by as much as €250 million in 2022.
After he stopped working with Nike in 2013, they started working together. They planned for it to last for ten years.
Kanye had already started fighting with Adidas executives in public, accusing them of “stealing” his ideas before he was fired.
West owns the Yeezy brand, but Adidas pays him a royalty fee every year so that they can sell the products.
Adidas, whose founder Adi Dassler was a member of the Nazi Party, was put under more and more pressure to drop Kanye after he made some anti-Semitic remarks.
Experts have also said that because Yeezys won’t be made in large quantities anymore, the market for used ones will explode.
TMZ said that the resale market would go through the roof and that companies would hold on to their Yeezy stock to see if Adidas would let the singer go.
Tamar Andrews, who worked as an educational consultant for Kanye, quit earlier this month because of his anti-Semitic comments.
The president of Temple Isaiah of LA, where Andrews is a director, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter: ‘Dr. Andrews immediately resigned from Donda Academy following Ye West’s tweet.
‘Her last day was October 11, 2022 as she felt she could no longer support the organization.’
West has gotten a lot of flak in recent weeks for his strange behavior, like putting out a line of “White Lives Matter” shirts at Paris Fashion Week.
ye Wesy
In an episode of the Drink Champs podcast with N.O.R.E., West said that George Floyd died from taking fentanyl and that Derek Chauvin’s knee “wasn’t even on his neck like that.”
Since then, Floyd’s family has sued the star for $250 million over his comments, calling them “repugnant” and saying that he made “false statements” to “promote his brands.”
Candace Owens has come out in support of Kanye, saying: ‘Corporations can dissociate from Ye but they will not steal from him.’
Adidas’s decision to stop working with Kanye is another blow to the rapper’s reputation, which has been hurt by a number of scandals in recent months.
