Kanye West has announced that he is going on a “30-day cleanse.”
West was banned from Twitter for making anti-Semitic comments, but after Elon Musk took over the site, he was let back on.
On Thursday, West sent out a tweet: “I’m not talking to nooobody for a month.”
He also posted a picture of a short message that said: “I’m taking a 30 day cleanse. A verbal fast. No alcohol. No adult films. No intercourse.
“In God we praise. Amen.”
West ended his statement by giving a hint that his silence might only apply to physical interactions: “But my Twitter still lit.”

Adidas said last week that it was ending its partnership with West because of the rapper’s antisemitic comments. According to Forbes, this meant that West lost his billionaire status overnight.
During an appearance on the Drink Champs podcast on October 15, West blamed “Jewish media” and “Jewish Zionists” for a number of supposed wrongdoings. He said that “Jewish people have owned the black voice” and that “the Jewish community, especially in the music industry, will take us and milk us until we die.”
West also caused a stir when he said that George Floyd died from the drug fentanyl and that a police officer’s knee “wasn’t even on his neck like that.”
Floyd’s daughter’s mother is suing West for $250 million (£224 million) over his claim.
Musk, on the other hand, said that the rapper’s Twitter account was fixed before he finished buying the social media site.
West is in the process of buying an alternative messaging platform called Parler. Parler says it is unbiased and is used by many influential conservative voices in the US.
