Kanye West said in a recent Instagram post, “The money is not who I am,” but it looks like the rapper is feeling the effects of losing several business deals because of anti-Semitic comments and other controversial comments. After it was said that he was no longer a billionaire because Adidas had ended their partnership, the rapper took to social media to vent his anger. He told people that he had been “beaten to a pulp.”
Kanye West has lost partnerships with Balenciaga, Vogue, and Adidas, among others, because of the trouble he caused by, among other things, wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt to a fashion show, using anti-Semitic language, and calling into question the cause of death in the murder of George Floyd in 2020. Because of the fuss, Adidas also stopped working with him. Shortly after Johnny Depp hired Camille Vasquez as his lawyer, she broke ties with Ye. After these terrible losses, the singer who went by the stage name “Heartless” posted the following on Instagram:
“While I’m still allowed on Mark Zuckerberg platform I’m going to say this again. Let’s see the contracts. The film contracts. The sports contracts. The music contracts. The mortgages. Let’s see the contracts. So we can or better yet will do better business. I’ve been beat to a pulp and there’s still no accountability.”
Kanye West has said before that the backlash to “the Jewish comment,” as he called it, proved the point he was trying to make, which was that people try to “mute” people who have different opinions. Ye asked again in the caption of the above-mentioned social media post whether or not the attempts to “destroy” his life show that he was right. He said:
“The ‘unknown powers’ are trying to destroy my life off of a tweet So does this prove that my so called suspicion was true? Leading with love This is #lovespeech”
Kanye West started posting about “love speech” on Instagram after the rapper was kicked out of Skechers’ corporate office for showing up “unannounced and uninvited.” West was taken out of the building before the posts were made public. After finding out that his deal with Adidas had cost him $1.5 billion, he might have been trying to move on quickly.
A lot of well-known people and businesses have spoken out against his actions and distanced themselves from the controversial things he has said. Howard Stern was upset when people used the rapper’s mental illness as an excuse for what he said on his Sirius XM radio show. Stern said he was sick of hearing people say they did bad things because they were crazy. Kim Kardashian, who is no longer married to rapper Ye, and other Kardashian-Jenner family members have spoken out against anti-Semitism and hate speech.
As Ye and the reality TV star continue to go through the divorce process, it has been said that Kim Kardashian is getting help from her ex-boyfriend Pete Davidson. Ivanka Trump and Kim Kardashian were recently seen having a three-hour dinner together at the Polo Lounge in the Beverly Hills Hotel. This makes it possible that Kim Kardashian asked Ivanka Trump for advice.
As Kanye West starts to feel the effects of the business deals he lost, we will have to wait to see what he does next and if his personal and professional relationships will be affected further. In the meantime, we will have to wait and see if Kanye West’s relationships will have more problems.
