Many people think that Keanu Reeves is one of the most respected and liked actors working in Hollywood right now. Fans go crazy whenever he shows up on the big screen because every role he has played up to this point has brought him a huge amount of fame.
Reeves is best known for his work in “Replicas” and “Speed,” but he is also known for his roles in “John Wick,” “Speed,” “Point Break,” “The Matrix,” “The Lake House,” “The Replacements,” “Exposed,” “Constantine,” and “Man of Tai Chi.”
Sources close to the couple said that The Matrix star proposed to his girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, in secret in April 2022. This rumor spread through the media and made a lot of people wonder about it. The fact that Reeves was seen buying diamond rings in Los Angeles on March 31st only made these rumors more likely to be true.
There were rumors that the couple was going to get engaged, and a friend of the couple told OK! magazine: “Keanu isn’t hiding the fact that he’s going to propose to Alexandra.”
And when the rumors started to spread like wildfire, the same source said: “Keanu popped the question after they returned home from Europe, where he was filming back-to-back movies, and she was there the whole time to support him.”
In 2011, it was the first time that these two people met each other. But, just like with his other relationships, Keanu kept his with Grant very quiet until 2019, when they made their first public appearance together.
“Reeves took Grant to the LACMA Art + Film Gala in 2019. They walked the red carpet holding hands, sparking romantic rumors,” Elle Magazine reported.
In an interview with Vogue that came out in March 2020, Grant said that she and Keanu became friends after she gave him a book in 2011.
“The book was made as a surprise, by me, for Keanu, as a private gift. All our friends sitting in the room got the giggles when I gave it to him — they said, ‘Please publish it!’ So that’s how we got into publishing,” she said.
According to Insider, “Ode to Happiness’ is a playful guide to climbing out of depression that combines text by Reeves with drawings by Grant. They later followed it up with a sequel, called Shadows.”
Furthermore, the artist, who lives in Los Angeles, also said that her relationship with the actor who plays John Wick was very important to her.
“I think every single person I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fascinating. But the question I’ve been asking in all of this is: ‘What is the opportunity for good?’”
“Love at every level is deeply important to my identity… I do not believe that isolation is the way,” Grant said. “There is a period of isolation that I do as a painter, but I deeply value the experience of being in relationships.”
In July 2022, Reeves and Grant were seen spending a romantic evening together in New York City.
According to Elle, “The couple went out looking elegant, but comfortable. Reeves was wearing a black t-shirt with a blazer in a dark grey that matched his slacks, paired with brown leather shoes. Grant wore a sleeveless navy blue dress that stopped just above her ankles, showing off her sandals covered in small gold beading.”
In an interview with Parade Magazine in 2006, Reeves said that he wanted to get married and have kids, but that it would take him a while to find the right person.
“I’m trying not to be alone so much,” he said. “And man, it’s a struggle. I want to get married. I want to have kids. That’s at the top of the mountain. I’ve got to climb the mountain first. I’ll do it. Just give me some time.”
