A radio station in Kentucky pulled off a different kind of support for the #Metoo movement. The station played a two-hour marathon of the controversial song “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” this weekend.
The song earned a lot of controversies when a listener expressed concerns saying that the lyrics of the song is bringing on an old debate in the country. Following this claim, a lot of radio station removed that song from their Christmas lineup.

But WDOK Christmas 102.1 decided to go on a different path. The station embraced the 1944 classic song by Frank Loesser and put it on a two-hour run. The director of programming at WAKY, Mr Joe Fredele said that he is having a hard time understanding how the song is controversial.
The station played the song on Sunday from 8 am to 10 am. They also promoted the marathon on their Facebook and Twitter handle. It received a lot of positive comments from its audience and they acknowledged the station for taking the stand.
