Kevin Costner’s Wife Finally Moves out of Their Home After Divorce
Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, Christine, is making a move. After 18 years of marriage to the actor, Christine was spotted running errands in Montecito, California, just a day before moving trucks were seen leaving the $145 million Santa Barbara compound that has been their family home, as reported by Page Six.
A reliable source confirmed to PEOPLE that Christine is following legal advice based on their prenuptial agreement and is vacating the family house.
However, she won’t be far away, as she plans to stay at a smaller house on the property that has been used as staff quarters.
“This is a temporary solution,”
the insider adds. “She is still looking for another house. She is staying in the area to not disrupt the kids’ lives.
They will be back at school in the fall with their friends. Christine is trying to keep everything as normal as possible. Her sole focus is the kids, the source tells PEOPLE.

Ultimately, Judge Thomas Anderele ordered her to vacate the property by the end of July, in accordance with the court documents.
“He was relieved,”
a source told PEOPLE at the time of Costner’s reaction to the ruling.
Christine had remained in the home since filing for divorce on May 1, despite a clause in her prenuptial agreement that reportedly required her to leave within 30 days.
Both Costner and Christine recently went on separate summer vacations with their children, making headlines. Costner took his teenagers to British Columbia, causing him to miss a July 12 court date.
