St-Pierre, the former welterweight as well as middleweight champion, told ESPN’s Ariel Helwani that he would be fighting in the next year UFC match.
He also told Helwani that he is expecting a big change to happen in 2019 – targeting for a potential return in his career. St-Pierre says that Khabib Nurmagomedov, the lightweight champion, would be the most interesting opponent who is returning to UFC. Also, he mentioned that he is not motivated in winning the championship title once again.
The last match for St-Pierre was in November 2017, where he fought against Michael Bisping and defeated him and won the championship in the middleweight category.
But the sad part about this champion is that once he was diagnosed with colitis, he was forced to vacate and return his championship title. This incident happened within the 34 days later after he was being diagnosed with the disease.
