American Horror Story is coming back for its 12th season, but there’s one particular new cast member who has fans scared already. Kim Kardashian. That’s right.
The anthology horror TV series is made by Gwyneth Paltrow’s husband, Brad Falchuk, and Ryan Murphy. Each season focuses on a different group of characters and places in the same fictional world.
So far, the series, which has had big names like Emma Roberts, Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Connie Britton, Lady Gaga, and Sarah Paulson in it, has been set in a Massachusetts asylum, a witch coven in New Orleans, and even a retro hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
Now, we know that season 12 is coming soon. It is titled “Delicate,” and Kim Kardashian is reportedly the lead star.
The 42-year-old mother of four made the announcement on Twitter on Monday, April 10. She posted a short clip of a creepy lullaby with her and Emma Roberts’ names written over it.

Murphy said this about Kim Kardashian’s role in the series in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter:
Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family. Emma [Roberts] and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done.
The outlet says that Delicate is based on Danielle Valentine’s upcoming book Delicate Condition, which is “a gripping thriller about a woman who thinks a bad guy is doing everything he can to stop her from getting pregnant, even though the men in her life don’t believe a word she says.”
Unfortunately, American Horror Story is no longer one of the few safe places for people who would rather watch paint dry than watch or read anything about the Kardashians. After hearing the news, many Internet users expressed their disappointment. One person wrote:
She’s irrelevant. Good luck watching your show tank.
WHY?!?! She is not an actress. It’s so frustrating that people work tirelessly to break into the acting industry and then people like Kim Kardashian get roles just handed to them,
someone else added.
Another user said:
I’ve been watching AHS for almost every season but this has convinced me to finally stop. Calling her ‘one of the biggest and brightest stars’ is about as desperate as a network can get.
