This is a story about a kind vet, a dog and a kitten. The kitten was diagnosed with a rare condition, eyelid agenesis which left him with no eyelids whatsoever. Mr Magoo, the kitten was found on the streets of New York. He wasn’t too old when he was found. But he was brought to Welch for safeguarding.
Once Mr Magoo became comfortable, he was introduced to his new best friend who was a pit bull. Ajax, a pit bull with hip dysplasia and Magoo with eyelid agenesis became fast friends and are united by their differences.
Welch has=d this to say about their relationship. “Ajax is super gentle with him when they play, letting Magoo chew on his face and nose and bat at him while he very softly chews at Magoo.”
