In an interview, Klay Thompson talked about his favorite All-Star moments. While talking about it, Klay said that the first thing that he remembers is the three-point shootout against Stephen Curry. Both the star players have been too good on the opponents with their 3-point shooting skills. The three-point contest between Klay and Curry went on for two consecutive years (2015-16), and along with fans, Klay also enjoyed it. Also, Klay expressed his gratitude for getting the chance to play with Kobe in his final season, which was in 2016.
Klay Thompson’s 3-point battle with Stephen Curry
The Splash Brothers (Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson) play for the same team, the Golden State Warriors, and have been great for their team. Right now, Klay holds the record for most made 3-pointers in a game(14 times).
When asked about their best memory from past all-star weekends, Klay Thompson said that he enjoyed the 3-point contest that was going on between him and his teammate Stephen Curry during 2015 and 2016. The other best memory that he talked about was playing alongside Kobe in his final season in 2016. He expressed his gratefulness for getting a chance to play with the legendary Kobe Bryant.
"I'm a huge Kobe [Bryant] fan. He was my biggest inspiration. I'm just going to play my hardest to honor him and Gigi cause without his play and me viewing his tenacity on the court, I would not be the athlete I am today."

It was Kobe’s 20th season, and since Klay grew up watching Kobe Bryant, it was like a dream come true moment for him. He said:
I got two. This one’s kind of combined, but the Three-Point Contest, me vs. Steph, two years in a row (2015 and 2016), was a lot of fun. (Last All-Star Weekend), being able to be around Kobe Bryant in his last year as an All-Star, in his 20th season, just because I grew up watching him and I wanted to be an NBA two-guard one day. … To be there in his final chapter was surreal for me. That’s when I felt like I really made it. It made me kind of reminisce about where time went as a kid, to now being an NBA player. So that was really cool for me.
Four Warrior Players in the All-Star Game in 2017
During the 2017-18 season, Golden State Warriors had four players named to the All-Star Game. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson were those four. It was the first time in NBA history that a single team had four players in the All-Star Games. This shows how strong the Golden State Warriors team has been, full of stars. The star-studded Warriors put in a strong effort every season, and that’s the reason for their success.
