One thing that the quarantine period has taught us, is to get used to the new age technology. While some of us enjoy the whole idea of attending meeting and classes on Zoom and Team, there are a few who are not tech-savvy people. Recently, a Texan attorney Rod Ponton was unable to manage the button on Zoom and got hidden behind the cat filter.
The footage of the meeting is doing rounds on the Internet. If you haven’t seen the clip yet, scroll down to know about the entire event that took place.
When Judge Roy Ferguson opened the court, what he was expecting was getting straight to the case. Instead, he couldn’t believe what he saw. Ponton, the attorney was trapped behind a cat filter.
“Mr Ponton, I believe you have filter turned on in the video settings,” said the judge.
“Can you hear me, Judge?” said Ponton. “I don’t know how to remove it. I’ve got my assistant here; she’s trying too, but I’m prepared to go forward with it. I’m here live. I’m not a cat.”
As he speaks, the attorney on the top right of the screen is thoroughly enjoying this turn of events and is having a good time.
During the media interaction, this is what Ponton had to say, “I logged into my secretary’s computer to appear at this hearing via Zoom, and when everybody’s ready the judge calls the case and everybody’s face is supposed to pop up on Zoom. And everybody’s face popped up except mine. Mine was a cat.”
Thankfully, Judge Ferguson saw the funny side and said it was, “a fun moment.”
