Legacies Season 2 is set to release this fall. The fans are really excited to know if they would see some characters from The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. At the moment, nothing is certain. Showrunner Julie Plec teased that Legacies Season 2 may bring back some of The Originals characters.
Legacies has stemmed from the previous two series and follows the path of its successors. Danielle Rose Russell and Matthew Davis are already a part of the cast. Apart from them, we also got to see other characters along the way. Still, the spin-off strives to create its separate identity.
Legacies Season 2 may see some crossover from The Originals and The Vampire Diaries. It also seems the right time to bring back some of these characters as Hope was suspended in a strange prison between dimensions. She definitely needs help and characters from other show may appear to do so.

Legacies Season 2 Storyline
Sources reported that Hope’s storyline is related to the left behind family. Plec mentioned that they had to address this matter at some point or the other. It is highly likely that the fans will get to see some familiar faces. We have seen that anything can happen on the show and we might also see someone back from the dead.
Freya’s story is not complete yet and she may return again. We may even see Kol and Rebekah at some point. Even though The Originals family may return, will they remember Hope? She was erased from the minds and hearts of everyone after she drove into the Malivore pit.
