Legends of Tomorrow season 5 has been officially renewed and here’s everything you need to know about the new season. The fourth season is currently midway, but the fans are thrilled that the show is going to return for another season.
Legends of Tomorrow season 5 release date
The official date has not been announced by CW yet. But, it will air sometime between 2019-2020. The fourth season was on a mid season break. Only eight of the 16 episodes had been aired so far. The next eight episodes have started airing on CW from 1 April 2019.
The fifth season of The Legends of Tomorrow was renewed along with other shows as well. These included The Flash, Supernatural, Black Lightning and Arrow.
Mark Pedowitz, the CW President said,
“We have increased our prime time schedule to six nights now. Sunday has been added to the telecast days now.”
He has also announced that they will increase their programming around the year.
He revealed that the early renewal of the Legends of Tomorrow season 5 on CW has given them a head start on the layout on 2019-2020 season.
Who is in the cast of Legends of Tomorrow season 5?
It is highly likely that many cast members are going to return for Legends of Tomorrow season 5. But, this will also depend on what happens in the second half of the fourth season.
Brandon Routh will return as Ray Palmer and Caity Lotz will probably return as Sara Lance. Nick Zano will return as Nate Heywood. And Dominic Purcell will play the role of Mick Rory

Since the fourth season is still midway, no official plot has been announced till now. So, the storyline of the upcoming season will depend on what is shown in the upcoming episodes of this season.
