It seems to appear that Floyd Mayweather have accepted the challenge that was posted to him earlier by Khabib Nurmagomedov, the UFC light weight champion.
Khabib posed the challenge in a video addressing Mayweather and said: ‘There can be only one king in a jungle.’
The response from the former boxer was in a typical fashion, asking the major television networks to get their checkbooks out and also he made a statement ‘Let us make Las Vegas great again.’
His comment ‘let us make Las Vegas great again’ remains unclear. Perhaps the retired boxer could have referred to the ugly brawl between Conor McGregor and Khabib’s teams at UFC 229 and called out people to make Vegas great again.
Both the Irish and Dagestani teams are awaiting further punishment over the aftermath events that happened in the biggest match of UFC history.
Mayweather has never passed up an opportunity to set the stage on fire.
Last August, after beating McGregor to ensure his unbeaten streak of 51 – 0 Floyd hung his gloves. But this sort of challenge could be tempting and may pull back the retired boxer back into the ring for one more bumper pay day.
