On the first night of her highly anticipated The Special Tour, which began on Friday night in Sunrise, Florida at the FLA Live Arena, Lizzo put on a sizzling display for the audience.
The singer, who is 34 years old, appeared on stage wearing a nude illusion jumpsuit that was sparkling blue and clung to her curvaceous figure.
Lizzo will continue her Special Tour through the month of November in order to promote her fourth studio album, also titled Special.
The record was released in July, and it includes the song “About Damn Time,” which became a hit on TikTok.
The woman, who was originally from Michigan, showed off her killer dance moves while wearing a sizzling jumpsuit that had faux arm warmers that sparkled under the lights.
Blue platform combat boots were what Lizzo wore as she strutted her stuff around the stage.
Her eyelids were highlighted with a vibrant blue eyeshadow, and for an extra dramatic touch, she topped them off with fluffy faux lashes.
The plump pout of the Truth Hurts singer was painted a cool nude shade, and the already stunning face that she possessed was sculpted with a warm-toned bronzing powder.
She was accompanied by a group of background dancers, all of whom were dressed in iridescent pink getups, complete with high-waisted hot pants and vinyl garter belts.
Lizzo achieved a major career milestone just two weeks before the start of her tour when she won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Competition Series for her show called “Watch Out For The Big Grrrls.” This award was presented to her for her work on the show.
On the series that was available on Amazon Prime, the performer served as both the host and the executive producer. It was announced just a few days before the ceremony that the show had won two Creative Emmy awards: one for Outstanding Directing and another for Outstanding Picture Editing.
The singer who won an Emmy for her hit song “Rumors” was overcome with gratitude and gave a speech in which she thanked everyone involved in the production of her series.
‘I mean my big girls come to the stage right now. I want to say thank you to the Emmys and the Emmy voters,’ she began.
‘First I’m very emotional, and the trophy is nice but my emotion is for these people who are on the stage with me, the stories that they shared they’re not that unique. They just don’t get the platform telling stories.’
The competition for a position as a backup dancer for Lizzo’s upcoming concerts and a world tour was the focus of the eight episodes of the show, which followed a cast of plus-size dancers with impressive skills.
Lizzo continued her emotional acceptance speech with the following, and she said it with all her heart: ‘Let’s just tell more stories. When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media. Someone fat like me, black like me, beautiful like me.’
‘If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I would be like, you’re going to see that person but b***h, it’s going to have to be you.’
After that, she made sure to thank all of the women who participated in the competition on her show.
She said: ‘Where are my big girls come one year ago, one year ago, these women were filming this television show that would change their lives forever they are Emmy award winning superstars who are going on a world tour make some noise for my big girls.’
At the very end, while she was still crying, Lizzo gave an emotional speech in which she thanked the audience and viewers and expressed her love for them. ‘I love you so much oh, my god god bless y’all. This is for the big girls.’
