Loki Season 2 is about to hit our home screens this October 6, 2023. Marvel released the first season of Loki back in June 2021 and it was an instant hit with the MCU fans. Tom Hiddleston-starrer series delved deep into the multiversal time travel story which ignited even more curiosity than before.
Loki Season 2 Synopsis
According to the latest official synopsis, Loki will head on a hunt for Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, and Miss Minutes.
“LokiSeason 2 picks up in the aftermath of the shocking season finale when Loki finds himself in a battle for the soul of the Time Variance Authority. Along with Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a team of new and returning characters, Loki navigates an ever-expanding and increasingly dangerous multiverse in search of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth of what it means to possess free will and glorious purpose.”
The hit Marvel series will return on Disney+ Hotstar this October 2023 and will once again take us on a multiversal ride. The second season will see the return of the same cast which included Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. According to the post-credit scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, we will see the return of Jonathan Majors as Victor Timely.
A part of Loki Season 2 will take place in 1893 at the World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. This is where Loki and Mobius will first encounter Victor Timely. They have also confirmed that the scene will have a good chunk of action sequences.
“We have also learned that a “sizeable” action sequence involving Loki, Mobius, Victor Timely, and Miss Minutes will occur here.”
Owen Wilson, who plays Mobius in the series also revealed some details about the storyline of the upcoming Loki series. He mentioned that Loki Season 2 will explore a little more of Mobius’ story.
“I thought I would have a good time but I really enjoyed it. I’ve been lucky working on a million movies and always having a good time, but on that one, I had a really great time and that continued on Season Two. Maybe even moreso because we were filming in London and being there at Pinewood but yeah, [his story] just goes deeper.”
New Cast Joining Loki Season 2
Aside from the current cast list making a return in Season 2, there will be an introduction of some new characters. So far Marvel has confirmed a few new additions to the series cast list. The most notable addition is Everything Everywhere All At Once star Ke Huy Quan. Other actors joining the team are Rafael Casal, Kate Dickie, and Liz Carr. It remains to be seen what role each actor would be playing in the series. It is quite understood that Ke Huy Quan is going to have a significant role owing to his rising fame since the release of Everything Everywhere All At Once.
