This is a significant shift in his character arc.
As the series progresses, Loki comes to realize that he doesn’t desire a throne or power. What he truly wants is to save his friends and not be alone. This realization leads to a bittersweet ending for Loki. He finally achieves the two things he has always claimed he wanted – a throne and control over the timeline. However, it comes at the cost of his friendships and a sense of loneliness.
Loki is my personal favorite mcu character after watching loki season 2. Man what a insane character development and that ending just mind blowing very well written. Talk about OST! cherry on top!
