Lolo Jones, an Olympian, says that the fact that she has never been with a man even though she is 40 years old has made it impossible for her to find one.
The American hurdler and bobsledder is one of only a few athletes in the world who has competed in both the Summer and Winter Olympics.
Jones, on the other hand, is in the news right now because of what has happened in her love life.
Check out the video below to hear Lolo Jones talk about how she got over how badly she did in the Olympic hurdles.
During her long and successful athletic career, the well-known athlete and devout Christian has been very open about her decision to put off marriage until she has done better in sports.
In an interview with Bryant Gumbe for the HBO show Real Sports, the forty-year-old woman talked in depth about her difficult “journey.”
During their conversation, Jones tells him that she wants their first time together to be like a “gift” for the man she plans to marry one day.
She says:
It’s just something, a gift I want to give to my husband.
But please understand, this journey has been hard.
There’s virgins out there, I’m gonna let them know, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.
Harder than training for the Olympics, harder than graduating from college, has been to stay a virgin before marriage.
Jones, on the other hand, says she wishes she hadn’t told anyone about this because she thinks it has hurt the quality of her relationships with men.
This is what she says on the podcast “Cold as Balls,” which is hosted by comedian Kevin Hart. She says that she “didn’t even have a chance” with them.
That was a mistake. That killed all my dates after that — like didn’t even have a chance. Like before, at least I had a chance,
she told the actor.
Before, I’d like, tiptoe, ‘OK, when’s a good time to tell him? Do I wait until he sees my personality a little bit? Or do I just drop the bomb?’.
Jones goes on to tell Hart that her inability to have sexual relationships has even changed the way her sports career has gone.
She explains:
I have a higher level of intensity because I don’t have any pressure release. Everybody knows me as stressed out.
Having s** actually helps you as an athlete, a female athlete. It’s good for your hormones. So I’m running at a disadvantage.
The famous athlete says that after being hurt so many times, she “started to lose hope” and became “really bored with dating” as a result.
She explained:
Look I’m no spring chicken. I’m not at an age where I can pretend like in my 20s ‘oh I’m not looking for anything serious’ when I was totally wanting to get married at that age.
It’s hard to date. It’s always the same story, picking between two extremes.
One guy is a Christian one guy is not. One guy is a workaholic the other one is unmotivated.
I’m torn between personality or character. Looks or morals.

Lolo also says that she has been harassed by internet trolls who have told her she should “put out already” and that she is “running out of time” to start a family.
Jones has said that she can legally freeze her eggs now that she is in her forties.
She says these things about the things she has done, on Instagram:
I have made the right move to prepare for a family if me and my husband want to try to have kids one day, we have options.
No one should be shamed for taking their time to figure out who their life partner is.
A woman shouldn’t be shamed for wanting biological kids or wanting to know what it’s like to be pregnant and carry her own child.
