However, everyone is looking forward to watching Lucifer Season 5 in the Coronavirus Lockdown and wondering when it will stream on Netflix. Netflix France has made a new tweet saying that Lucifer Season 5 will arrive soon and the exact premiere date can be announced shortly. Here is more information on the schedule and premiere dates for the upcoming season of the Lucifer TV series.
Lucifer Season 5 will Release in Two Parts
Lucifer Season 5 was earlier supposed to have 10 episodes but Netflix ordered more content. The showrunners wanted another season and the production studios had something else in mind. In the end, it was decided that the fifth season of Lucifer will have a total of 16 episodes. Further, it was also reported that Netflix will release Lucifer’s 5th season in two batches of 8-episodes each.
It was speculated that there will be a gap of around a month or two between the two parts of the next Lucifer installment. Earlier, it was expected that Lucifer Season 5 would release somewhere around May or June but the Coronavirus pandemic has changed the whole schedule now.
Lucifer Season 5 Early Release in Coronavirus Lockdown
Netflix has now two options, either release the first 8 episodes early and give fans something to watch in the Coronavirus Lockdown. It has been rumored based on the set pictures that filming for 15 episodes has been done and only the last episode is left to shot.
Fans are hoping that Netflix releases Lucifer Season 5 earlier and gives them something to pass time in Quarantine. Tom Ellis has also hinted the same as Netflix can get more viewers for Lucifer if they release Season 5 at this time.
