Madonna won’t let the people who don’t like her bring her down.
After the 65th Grammy Awards, when people were asking “what the hell happened to Madonna’s face,” the “Material Girl” singer got mad and tweeted a mysterious message.
The world is threatened by my power and my stamina,
she wrote.
My intelligence and my will to survive, but they will never break me.
This is all the test.

People think that her mysterious tweet is a continuation of her post-Grammys response, in which she called people who said negative things about her appearance “misogynistic” and “ageist.”
People on social media were quick to say that the 1980s pop star should tone it down.
One user wrote:
Lady you’re scarin’ us.
A second commented, rather sagely:
Girl, you’re turning into Michael Jackson. Stop.
While a third added:
It’s not about misogyny or ageism from others. It’s about internalizing those concepts in your own being by deforming yourself to keep up with impossible standards of youth.

Even though people have said things about Madonna on social media, she seems to be doing her own thing.
After the Grammys controversy, she posted a video to Instagram showing her hanging out with some of the night’s biggest stars.
Even though she looked like she was having a great time, she used the caption to tell her haters something.
Instead of focusing on what I said in my speech which was about giving thanks for the fearlessness of artists like Sam and Kim, many people chose to only talk about close-up photos of me taken with a long lens camera by a press photographer that Would distort anyone’s face,
she said on Instagram.
Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in.
A world that refuses to celebrate women past the age of 45 and feels the need to punish her If she continues to be strong willed, hard-working and adventurous.
I have never apologized for any of the creative choices I have made nor the way that I look or dress and I’m not going to start … I understand that this is all a test and I am happy to do the trailblazing so that all the women behind me can have an easier time in the years to come.
