Jalen Suggs of the Orlando Magic is on the radar of the Los Angeles Lakers this season. With LeBron James nearing his retirement, the Lakers are working on building their squad to keep them relevant after he retires. But that is a thing for the future.
At the moment, the Lakers are looking for companions for James and Davis to take the Lakers toward a title again. They made it to the Western Conference Finals last season where they were crushed by the Nuggets. If they are eying for the youngsters, they can land Magic’s Jalen. Here is all the information you need about the deal between the Orlando Magic and the Los Angeles Lakers involving Jalen Suggs.
What would the Lakers offer for Jalen Suggs?
The Lakers can swap Jarred Vanderbilt for Jalen Suggs. The Magic did decent enough in the last season, and it is probably the high time they start making changes. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner are the center of attraction of the team. They signed the veteran Joe Ingles to make things better. Can Vanderbilt give them what they need?

Why would the Magic trade-off Jalen Suggs?
The Magic need a replacement for Jonathan Isaac, and even though Vanderbilt is worse at shooting than Suggs, they would consider it. Isaac’s health issues have been concerning, and the Magic would not like to take any chances. Vanderbilt has got versatility at defending. He can either be used as a starter or a super sub. Actually, Suggs is a part of the guard crowd for the Magic, and even though he is a great player, they can let him go.

Why would the Lakers like to sign Jalen Suggs?
The Lakers are taking a risk here. Suggs has not been that great. There were huge hopes for him when he was chosen as the fifth overall pick in the 2021 NBA draft, but he never stood up to the expectations. But he is not a horrible player either. He is a brilliant passer and an even better defender. Vanderbilt is not a part of the Lakers’ plans, and Suggs can be their future,
