Money is never a problem at United. The Norwegian has plenty of money at his disposal, but the importance now is to ensure that the club goes for sustainable, long term targets and move away from the previous model of signing big names for the sake of it.

Three more signings likely at United
With Daniel James from Swansea setting the ball rolling, and Wan-Bissaka adding to the list, it is likely that three other players will make their way to Manchester United this summer. Here are the players United are interested in:
#1 James Maddison (Leicester City)
While the 22-year-old joined Leicester just last year for £20m, it is his incredible debut season that has the likes of United interested in him. Seven goals and seven assists are his debut season are not rookie numbers, and United will be looking to add the English youngster and build an English core that was a striking feature of Sir Alex Ferguson’s tenure at the club.
#2 Sean Longstaff (Newcastle United)
Despite missing a big chunk of the season to a ligament injury, the scouts and the staff saw enough in Sean Longstaff to have a real interest in him. The Newcastle deep-lying midfielder is seen as a replacement for the departing Ander Herrera.
#3 Bruno Fernandes (Sporting Club)
One of the names that is often mentioned with links to United is Sporting Lisbon’s, Bruno Fernandes. Following an impressive campaign with the Portuguese club, and a Nations League win, the midfielder’s stock is high, and United have a lot of work to do to land him.
