Early Life
Marsai Martin was born in Plano, Texas, to Carol and Joshua Martin. Her journey as an actress started with a fancy photoshoot. The photographer offered her parents a lower rate on the condition that her father would send the pictures to talent agencies. The images were then sent to four agencies, and one of them promptly signed her.
When she was five years old, Martin got her first national commercial with Choice Hotel. In 2013, her family relocated to Los Angeles to support her pursuit of an acting career.
