The uneasy relationship between Melania and Ivanka.
In an interview at “The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert,” Ward was asked if anyone at the White House defied or turned down requests from Ivanka and Jared.
“So here’s an interesting suggestion: Melania Trump is the only person in my book who has ever successfully stood up to Ivanka Trump and won,” Ward replied.
Ivanka’s role in transition period
Ward also revealed some new information about the role of the ‘First Daughter’ during the transition period. Ivanka told reporters that she would not be working at the White House throughout the period.
Ward called the news “absolute rubbish”. She revealed that Ivanka was actively participating and making elaborative plans at the time.
The investigative journalist said that Ivanka had “a ‘Trump family office’ drawn up for the East Wing.” The East Wing of the White House is generally the territory of the First Lady and her team.
When Melania learned of the news, she “put a very quick end” to Ivanka’s plans.
Revelations about Ivanka and Jared
She also revealed some shocking information about Ivanka and her husband, Jared.
She said, “Jared and Ivanka are not just the President’s chief enablers: they, like him, appear disdainful of rules, of laws, and of ethics.”
Vicky Ward is originally from the UK, but she now lives in New York. Her book is on stands now.
