A million hearts broke when Cristiano Ronaldo left Real Madrid to join the Italian club Juventus. This put an end to his long-time clash with his arch-nemesis Lionel Messi.
But it seemed like Ronaldo was already missing him. In an interview, Ronaldo revealed that he wants Messi to play for an Italian team and accept his challenge. He continued saying that like Ronaldo, Messi too should come out of his comfort zone (playing for Spanish club) and play for other teams too.
Since then, almost every sports reporter is continuously asking Messi whether he accepts the challenge or not. He kept mum until last Thursday when he made a clear-cut response to Marca. He said that he is happy with the things as they are, and he doesn’t want any change.
The Argentine told Marca that he is currently playing with the best team. Every year comes up with a new challenge. He doesn’t need any new club or any new country team to renew the challenges. He is happy at home.
This apt reply of Messi settled it once and for all.
